Windows Mixed reality and Windows Surface will be supported by Microsoft’s mixed reality platform and will be available as an option in Windows 10 later this year, according to a new report.
Microsoft’s CEO Satya Nadella has also confirmed that the platform will support Windows Mixed desktop and Mixed reality.
Microsoft is planning to include the platform in the operating system for desktop, laptop and mobile platforms, according a post on Microsoft’s website.
The Windows Mixed platform will also include a number of other features including support for holograms and augmented reality, which are features that were first implemented with HoloLens, the company’s next-generation virtual reality headset.
The Microsoft-owned technology company has already released several apps and games for HoloLens and HoloLens Pro, the latter of which has been available on the company for some time.
Microsoft has also recently introduced a variety of new HoloLens-compatible products, including the HoloLens Elite and the HoloMirror.
Microsoft also announced a number new HoloVision-compatible hardware and software products earlier this month, including a HoloLens HoloLens VR headset.
