article Posted by Mike O’Brien on September 29, 2018 09:11:08 Windows 10 is a massive improvement over Minecraft, but the developers at Mojang are going to have to do a lot of work to get that upgrade rolling.
A recent update to Minecraft’s source code, Minecraft 10.0.15063.0, shows that Microsoft is planning to add new features to the game, including a way to turn on your Minecraft world while you’re offline.
“This is a great opportunity for us to deliver some of the features we’ve been working on for a long time in Minecraft, including more robust sandboxing, improved resource management, and more.
For example, we’re planning to improve resource management and resource-management tools,” a release notes says.
“We’ll also be making some improvements to the resource management interface and a new system for managing Minecraft worlds.”
The change is to allow players to set their own Minecraft worlds in their settings, but they’ll also have to wait until the game is updated for the new features.
Minecraft 10 has also got a lot more in store for Minecraft’s servers, including an increased amount of processing power, improved networking, and a revamped client.
Minecraft players who have opted into the new update are also getting the ability to share their worlds with friends on the new Minecraft Community.
“This will give us a new way to communicate with our players, as well as make it easier to create new worlds, which are going be much more convenient for players,” Mojang’s blog post says.
Microsoft has already shown that it is committed to the Minecraft franchise with the upcoming launch of Minecraft: Xbox One Edition, but Mojang is keen to give gamers the chance to try out all of its new features before they make their way to Windows 10.
The Mojang team have already shown off a lot about the new updates on YouTube, so we asked the developers about how they plan to improve the game’s experience.
“We’re going to continue to improve Minecraft over the coming months.
We want Minecraft to be the best it can be for you, but also the best Minecraft can be.
We’ll continue to deliver the most advanced and advanced features for the most current and future Minecraft players.
We know you want to play the best version of Minecraft,” Mojango’s Chris Wilson told Ars.
