A man was arrested Friday on suspicion of threatening a deputy with a gun and threatening to shoot him in the face while he was handcuffed.
The arrest occurred after a deputy stopped the vehicle that was parked near the Montgomery County Jail and the man was seen on surveillance video holding up a gun.
The man is in his early 30s and was described as a white man with a thin build.
He was described to police as “shaking and sweating” when he was arrested and taken to the Montgomery jail.
The sheriff’s office said a search warrant was issued for the man’s home in Montgomery County, and deputies were dispatched to the residence after a call of shots fired.
The sheriff’s department said the man is now in custody and charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and menacing a deputy.
